Founded in 1942, Stanmore Bowls Club welcomes those new to bowling as well as experienced bowlers from Stanmore and the surrounding areas. We are situated in the Recreation Ground, with our entrance off the Car Park, in Dennis Lane, Stanmore. We welcome men and ladies to membership, and provide free coaching given by those members who are qualified under the English Bowls Coaching Society scheme. The outdoor bowls season is 5 months long, late April to the end of September / early October
The Club is affiliated to Bowls England, Middlesex Bowling Association, and Harrow and District Bowling Association, and enters teams in their midweek and evening leagues.Gentlemen and Ladies have friendly fixtures against other clubs in the area. We hold social events in the summer season, as well as in the winter.

Roll up sessions are:-
10.00am, 2.00pm and 4.30pm every day Monday to Sunday.
The popular Monday League uses 6 rinks and Roll Ups are not available at 2.00pm on Mondays
It is your responsibility to check the Fixture Card or the Ring Diary-on-line that roll-up rinks will be available, to avoid a fruitless round trip, as sometimes all day club events and coaching will reduce
or even eliminate availability,
The seven rinks are set out for the days play by the Green Rangers, with members help, by 10.00am. daily.
The green is cut early morning on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, generally finished by 10.00am.
Sometimes the Green Contractor has extra work which finishes later and has priority
Evening session from 4.30pm; you need entry code and you take responsibility for getting out equipment, putting all away, plus all security. Locking up-- and all electric items, fans, lights, heaters to be OFF
The electric fence (anti-foxes) will be on an automatic timer.- off from 8.15am to 8.00pm
